Speech-Language Therapy

Our pediatric Speech-Language pathologists are trained in many areas of
communication including:

  • Pre-communication skills
  • Receptive and expressive language delay
  • Developmental delay
  • Feeding impairments
  • Oral motor
  • Apraxia
  • Articulation (intelligibility)
  • Stuttering
  • Central Auditory Processing Disorder
  • many more

To determine if your child is having difficulty in any of the above or related speech areas,
a speech-langauge evaluation will help identify your child's strengths and weaknesses.
Standardized testing, informal observations, parent and physician information will be
used to determine if speech-language services would be beneficial for your child.

At Central Florida Therapy Solutions, Inc. we also provide speech-language services for
adults as well. Several of our SLP's who work with adults are trained in many areas of
communication. Some common diagnoses addressed include:
  • Stroke/CVA
  • Aphasia
  • Apraxia (verbal and oral)
  • Visual neglect
  • Oral motor
  • Dysphagia
  • Traumatic brain injury
  • Voice/Fluency

We recognize that families are an important part of their child's life and that they need to
be an integral part of their treatment program. In addition, parents are provided with a
home program and additional resources.
